Avis Savitt

Avis Margulies Savitt,age 85 passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Burton; children, Douglas & Joanne Savitt and Connie & Jerry Sandler; grandchildren, Daniel & Lieba Savitt, Michael Savitt, Jay, Todd, Lee & Amy Sandler; sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joan & Stan Strimling, Ruth Margulies, Arnold & Georganne Savitt, Carolyn & Jerry London and Judy Dodd. She was a proud graduate of Washburn High School and attended the University of Minnesota. Avis was an active member of the Adath Jeshurun Women's League for 60+ years and a past president of Henrietta Szold Chapter of Hadassah. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral service TUESDAY, March 18, 1:30PM, at ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 W. Hillside Lane, Mtka. Memorials preferred to Adath Jeshurun Congregation and Sholom Community Alliance. SHIVA, 225 Sumter Avenue South in Golden Valley (Tue, Wed & Thur 7PM).
