Art Rudick, "The Little Guy.", 90, Art passed away peacefully on January 11 in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife of 66 year, Rochelle (Chelle), at his side. Born on Halloween 1932, he is preceded in death by his parents Irv and Ann (Sklar) Rudick, Along with Chelle, he is survived by his sister, Gretta Freeman, his children, Steve (Randee) Rudick, Jodi Rudick, David Rudick (Lynn), Amy Glasman (Mike), his cherished 7 grandchildren, Spencer, Max, Justin, Adam, Lily, Nina and Emily. Art grew up in Minneapolis and was a long-time member of Temple Israel. Art attended the University of Minnesota, served in the US Navy and in 1959 became a a pioneer in the advertising specialty field. His loving, generous, easy-going nature created many lifelong relationships that endured to his final day. Art lived life on his terms. He was an amazing relationship-based salesperson, a sole proprietor of his business and called all his own shots. In 1986, he and Chelle followed their dream of moving to Arizona, where they could enjoy the weather year round. In Arizona, he expanded his business and was able to play tennis every day. He never lost his love for the Vikings, Twins, or Gophers. He passed his values of hard work, independence, integrity, compassion, humor onto his children. The life Art shared with Chelle was overflowing with love. They were a true team that did everything together, including traveling to every corner of the world. They never had a bad day, as long as they were together. For over six decades, they showed everyone what real love looked like, and never took each other for granted. Art was a wonderful, loving man, and was a friend to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Wherever he is now, he has an order pad, a tennis racquet and a TV remote nearby. A celebration of life will be held in Arizona and Minneapolis at a later date.
