Andrew John Robinson

Andrew John Robinson, age 55 of New York City passed away suddenly on January 19th from complications related to cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Sybil & Seymour Robinson. He is survived by his daughters who he loved and who were a source of strength, Talia Robinson and Leah Robinson; brother Jeffrey Robinson; sister Jill Marks; and many loving family members and friends. He will be remembered for his humor, diverse interests, creative endeavors, great generosity, and immense heart. Andy fought a courageous battle against many illnesses over the past 18 years. Andrew grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Tulane University and George Washington University Law School. He then worked as a Public Defender and later engaged in private practice in law for many years.The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Andy’s caregivers, Dawn Newton and Debbie Mitchell. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. SUNDAY, January 27 at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave South, Minneapolis.
