Amy Krupp

–

Burtrum, Minnesota

Amy Krupp passed away due to diabetic complications. Amy was an extraordinary, high energy, do-all person. She traveled the globe far and wide as a young adult. She studied medicine in Europe and was able to successfully master four foreign languages. Amy's ability to adapt to all challenges was put to the test when she took a job in Barrow, Alaska. Due to her vast knowledge base, she became the local school principal. She was also a private pilot and she provided medical care in the remote village. Amy was a person that celebrated diversity in all its forms. Her friendships included GLBT, Asian, European, persons with disabilities, elderly & youth. She performed as a GS Canoe Guide in the BWCA, a GS Troop Leader, a caregiver for everyone older than her in her family, and a supporter & enthusiast of all of life's great adventures. This past year as her health failed, she was directed to hospice care in Minneapolis/St. Paul. She passed away peacefully with her 2 wiener dogs and family at her side in her son's home in the cities. Amy was a true friend that brought all of life's adventures to fruition. She was survived by her son Grant & daughter Ilana, and long time partner, Lyle Niemi.
