Amelia "Amy" Howe Kritzer Obituary (1947 - 2016)

Amelia “Amy” Kritzer Age 69 of St. Paul passed away from surgical complications on June 16, 2016. Mother, grandmother, wife, friend, mentor, gardener extraordinaire, scholar, teacher, activist. Winner of a 2014 Golden Bloom award from Blooming Saint Paul. Author of four books and many scholarly articles. Retired from the University of St. Thomas, where she shared her love of theater and London with many years of students. Amy was preceded in death by her father, Bennie Howe. Survived by husband, Bert Kritzer; children, Naomi Kritzer (Edward Burke), Abigail Kritzer (Allen Grenander), Nathaniel Kritzer (Melissa); mother, Iris Howe; grandchildren, Molly and Kiera Burke; brother, Eric Howe (Cathy Chrones). FUNERAL SERVICE SUNDAY, 2:00pm, SHIR TIKVAH CONGREGATION, 1360 W. Minnehaha Pkwy, Mpls. Please allow extra time for parking in the neighborhood.
