Abraham “AL” Thomas Salsberg age 95 of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Minnetonka passed away May 17, 2016. Preceded in death by wife, Bernice; parents, Thomas & Ann Salsberg; sisters, Frieda Zacky and Ruth (Lyle) Lebowsky. Survived by wife, Phyllis; son, Joel; also survived by Phyllis’s children, Paula Berg and Charles (Casey) Berg and grandchildren, Joseph, Sarah, Peter, & Hannah. Owner & established Thrift-Way Supermarket in Crystal, MN. Al was a veteran in WWII. He was in the 2nd landing at Normandy and was one of the liberators of Buchenwald Concentration Camp. He left the military as a Major. Funeral service SUNDAY 3 PM at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave. So., Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to donor’s favorite charity.
